Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative is sponsoring, for the first time, a free one day Safety Camp offered to children entering the first or second grade this upcoming 2018/2019 school year. Each one day class will be held at our Port Orford office on August 4 & 5. Space is limited to 25 children per day.
This day camp is designed to teach kids pedestrian, traffic and personal safety. The six hour day camp will provide classroom curriculum and outdoor practice in a simulated miniature city complete with bikes and streets. Guest presenters are lined up from Gold Beach Fire Department and City of Brookings Safety City coordinator Dan Palicki. Lunch and snacks will be provided.
To register your child, please download and complete a Safety Camp Application or call (541) 332-3931 to request one to be mailed. Applications are also available at any CCEC office. Applications are due no later than 5:30 July 19, 2018.
