GenerLink™ Transfer Switch Program

Portable Generator Connection Program
Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative is offering members the opportunity to install a GenerLink™ transfer switch for use with portable generators. A GenerLink installs behind your electric meter and provides a connection point for a portable generator. When utility power is unavailable, the transfer switch allows power from your generator to be supplied to your home's electrical system while preventing electricity from backfeeding onto CCEC's electric distribution system. Before a GenerLink can be installed, CCEC must inspect your existing meter base to verify compatibility.

Program Process

  1. Submit an Interest Form: Complete the form below to request a meter base inspection.

  2. Meter Base Inspection: A CCEC electrician will contact you to schedule an appointment. During the visit, we'll inspect your existing meter base to determine whether it is compatible with a GenerLink transfer switch.
  3. Order Your GenerLink: If your meter base is approved, CCEC will provide you with a link to order the appropriate GenerLink model through ccec.gpfulfillment.com.
  4. Installation: Once your GenerLink has been received, CCEC will schedule a time to install the unit. Installation is provided at no charge through this program.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a GenerLink?A GenerLink is a transfer switch that installs behind your electric meter and allows a portable generator to connect to your home's electrical system. It also prevents electricity from backfeeding onto the electric grid during an outage.

This program provides a standardized process for members who wish to install a GenerLink transfer switch while helping ensure installations are completed safely and are compatible with CCEC's equipment.
  • Does my home qualify? Not all meter bases are compatible with GenerLink. A CCEC electrician will inspect your existing meter base before a unit can be ordered.
  • Who purchases the GenerLink? Members purchase the GenerLink directly through ccec.gpfulfillment.com after their meter base has been approved.
  • Is there an installation charge? No. CCEC will install approved GenerLink units at no installation charge through this program.
