Capture the Beauty, Life & Landscapes of the Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative Service Territory!

What does it mean to belong to a place with coastline that stops you cold, forests that have stood for generations, and communities that have held together through every season? This year, we're inviting CCEC members to answer that question, one photograph at a time.

Our 2026 theme asks you to explore the joy of daily life here and the legacy that makes this region like nowhere else on Earth. Whether your shot is a candid laugh at a local event or a landscape that took your breath away, we want to see it.

What We Want to See:

• People and community  families, friends, neighbors, volunteer events and community gatherings
• Landscapes and coastline  dramatic coastlines, ancient forests, river valleys, mountain vistas and the wide rural sky
• Local landmarks  lighthouses, bridges, farms, harbors, and the special spots only locals know
• Seasonal beauty  spring wildflowers, summer harvest, golden fall light and the moody drama of a winter coast
• Wildlife and nature animals, birds, tidal pools, old-growth trees and the wild natural world that surrounds us
• Everyday moments candid photos of ordinary life made extraordinary, from a quiet morning to the working harbor to a child's face
• Working lands and industry gillnetters heading out before dawn, the smell of a mill town, a cranberry bog blazing red in October. The industries of Coos and Curry counties aren't just how people make a living. They're woven into who we are.

Amazing Prizes & Recognition:

• Twelve winners will be selected to receive both a $100 bill credit and a $100 gift card, plus have their stunning photography featured in the 2027 Ruralite Calendar and displayed at our Member Appreciation Day events.

Contest Requirements and Specifications:

• CCEC Members- Live at a residence served by Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative
• Photo Format- HORIZONTAL (landscape) format ONLY Vertical photos will be automatically rejected
• Technical Specifications- File Type: JPEG files only Resolution: Minimum 300 DPI at 11" wide × 9" tall File Size: Maximum 30MB per photo
• Submission Limits- Maximum 3 photos per contestant. Quality over quantity- choose your best shots!
• Location Requirements- All photos must be taken within CCEC's service territory. Here is a link to the map.

Important Reminder: By entering this contest, you grant Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative permission to use your photos in our calendar, on magazine covers, and across any and all our communications channels (print and digital) with proper photo credit.
