Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CCEC) will hold its 86th Annual Meeting of the Members on Thursday, June 27, at 10 a.m. The meeting will take place at the Port Orford CCEC headquarters located at 43050 HWY 101, Port Orford, Oregon.  A virtual option to attend the meeting will be available to members; please visit CCEC’s annual meeting webpage at www.ccec.coop/annual-meeting for details. 

This meeting will feature the announcement of the election results for the Board of Directors and a special presentation by Kurt Miller, Executive Director of the Northwest Public Power Association (NWPPA). 

Board of Directors Election Information:
This year, CCEC members will elect board members representing Districts 1 & 2 (Brookings and Harbor areas) and District 3 (Gold Beach area). As a member-owned cooperative, CCEC values and encourages its members’ active participation in its governance through their democratic right to vote in this important election.

Candidate Information for the Upcoming Board Election:

Candidates for Districts 1 & 2 (Brookings and Harbor areas)
•    John Herzog, Incumbent – Brookings
•    Charles Mansell - Brookings

Candidates for District 3 (Gold Beach area)
•    Jim Kolen, CCD, BLC, DGC - Gold Beach 

Ballots will be distributed beginning May 24 through the United States Postal Service mail or via a unique link to a secure portal sent to the email address on file. Ballots must be received by June 24, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. to guarantee the vote is counted.

Members who plan to vote electronically should add noreply@directvote.net to their safe sender list. This will ensure they receive important election communications.
