The official 88th Annual Meeting of the Members of Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CCEC) will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, at the CCEC headquarters, 43050 Highway 101 in Port Orford.
Board of Directors Election
In advance of the meeting, members will be sent a ballot and vote to elect a board member to represent each of the following districts:

Cheryl is a credentialed cooperative director, has a board leadership certificate, and more than 40 years of experience in the electric utility industry as a root cause engineer, auditor, manager, and board member.

I am applying for the Coos Curry Electric board, position number 4. I am 62 years old and went through the 2cj school system, graduating in 1981. Since then, I have lived and worked in Southern Coos and Northern Curry counties. My work experience started in ranching, cranberry farm management. I now own and operate a cranberry farm since 2003, manages 2 rentals, and have an event venue business that started in 2008. |

Johnny Jones |
I’m a third-generation lineman with 34 years serving a small rural cooperative. Being a lineman has given me firsthand experience with the responsibility of keeping the lights on and serving the community. My wife and I live on the Elk River. I believe my experience, willingness to learn, and commitment to the cooperative will allow me to contribute and be a valuable asset to the board and its members moving forward. |

David Brock Smith |
David Brock Smith is a 3rd generation resident and businessman with over two decades of public service to the members of CCEC. He has served for years in the Oregon Legislature as Vice Chair of the House and Senate Committees on Energy and Environment.

Lauriel Wentling
|
I’m Lauriel Wentling and I have lived in Port Orford for 7 years. I recently retired from the local School District as the Food Service Kitchen Manager. I have 30 years of School District experience in various leadership positions. I have a B.A. in Sociology from University of California, Chico. I have 6 years of Board experience in a Water Company District and 9 years experience as a rural Fire Department EMT/responder, Board member volunteer. |

Approval of 2025 Draft Annual Meeting Minutes
In accordance with the cooperative's bylaws, the ballot also includes a vote to approve 2025 Draft Annual Meeting Minutes. No voting will take place at the annual meeting.
Voting Method
Ballots will be sent to members either by mail or email, depending on the delivery method they selected. All voting items, the board election, the approval of the 2025 Draft Annual Meeting Minutes and the Amendments to the Bylaw will be included on the same ballot.
